Enchantment of the Seas in January

So this past January I set sail towards the Bahamas on the Enchantment of the Seas. Its one of Royal Caribbean's cruise ships. It was my first time on their ships. After all the tomfoolery it took me to get there, whoooo I was so happy to see the boat!
Big ole boat!
Of course once you get to the Port there is security, blah, blah, blah, blah. By this time I was hot, sweaty, stinky, and my pants kept falling off, I was toooooooooo through, plus I was STARVING! I just wanted to shower, change, and drink.

Of course, I couldn't shower, change, and drink first, because on cruises you don't get your luggage right away. So, all I could do was lay funky in bed and silently scream to myself. But I did eat, and it was the BOMB!

One of my plates! Delish!
Now once I got settled and started having fun, I had a blast. I met some nice people and it was nice to see the Bahamas in January. One of my favorite people I met was my personal bartender, he gave me so many free drinks. I enjoyed his company too, nice guy.

Since I've been on Carnival cruise and Royal now, I made a little comparison in my head. First off, the ships on Royal are much nicer, they are big and have nice pretty spaces. Carnival has more to do on their ships though. At times, I got bored on Royal, lot of old people on board. Carnival's dinning room was so much better than Royal's. Steak and lobster were EXTRA.......I was so annoyed at that. Royal's buffet was slamming though. It was good every night, WAY better than Carnival's. Royal's stateroom was awesome, the better of the two hands down.

Now, we were supposed to port in Coco Cay and Nassau. We only made it to Nassau. I had a great time, don't get me wrong, BUT I will never cruise in January again. EVER!!!!!! It was windy, it rained off and on, and on the way back the current was extremly strong. People were holding onto walls, falling over and WOW! My stomach was churning the last night. I decided to just go to bed and get ready for the early morning.

Overall, I had a wonderful trip. It was beautiful and a nice break from the real world. Enjoy the pics below.

Winter Cruise Blog: My trip on the Megabus

Ahhh, the sun, the sand, the pretty beaches. There is nothing like a good vacation. This January I decided well, I'm going to leave the cold and travel down to the Bahamas for some nice weather. I overall enjoyed the trip but there were some cons to the whole thing.

Well, this cruise I was on the Enchantment of the Seas for five days. Its a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and my first time on this particular cruise line. I was really excited.

For this trip we took the Megabus to Orlando. Now, I have read, read, read and read how to get from Orlando Lynx Bus station to Port Canaveral. I read somewhere that you can take a $25 shuttle to the Port. Well, that information is not correct. Not at all. After the 8 hour ride on a squished bus behind a stinky man we arrived at Lynx Bus station, only to ride the city bus 45 minutes to the airport. Once I arrived at the airport I was thinking ok here is where I take the $25 shuttle. Wrong again........When we arrived at the airport we were told we would have to take the Royal Caribbean shuttle to Port Canaveral, another 45 minutes. It cost $37. Needless to say I was tired of buses and sitting down by the time I got to the Port.

I was extremely annoyed with the megabus on my way down. On the way home, I had the seat to myself and it was bearable. The price was ok and I probably ended up saving some money but at the end of the of the day, I probably won't take the megabus anymore. The hassle was just too much. Prefer to just drive or fly.

Christmas Decorations

So here we are, another year has basically came and gone and we are literally looking Christmas right in the face. Again, I love this time of year, the hustle, the bustle its like magic. It seems that people are just a little more merrier to others, IT SEEMS! I also love all the time I have off for work. I will be off for 3 weeks, one week will be spent in the Bahamas but, I'm still off. Besides you can't complain to much about spending a week in the Bahamas aboard the Enchantment of the Seas! We are taking the megabus down, so this will be interesting! Back to Christmas though. "Christmas just ain't Christmas, without DECORATIONS." My mom and I spent one afternoon decorating the house with Christmas decorations. I pulled out my tablet and put  the Christmas music on and got to work. Here is a pic.
